most high schools acroos the country have this "zero" policy do you think it actually applies? What are we teaching our children anyway. Please be as honest as you can. Even if you are someone who has experienced this?

let me add this! there has been nothing about local teens getting into trouble and no media will address it! They too have pushed it under the rug! Remember if you are in high school, "ditching to your is not the same as ditching to the athletes!"
What really gets me is NO ONE will speak up! The consiquences are too high!

Do you mean, do "jocks" get preferefal treatment, if you do then yes, teachers, principals, parents, even students treat u differently if you have "high status" in some cases/schools.
For example, before becoming a cheerleader/yearbook staff, I was known, but not too popular either, in the middle I guess. I became a cheerleader and photographer and was getting out of all my classes/work, teachers actually saying "you have a game to cheer at or you have pictures to take", etc .

Or do you mean, do the students show double standards towards each other? If so then yes to that to,
i.e., how many public schools would have been cool w/ a MALE Prom king, Female Quarterback. And basically like the 1st guy said one thing might be ok, but reversed would be racist/unfair
, double standards are something kids/old/black/white/short/tall/male/female are no exception to.

I totally agree...very double standard. Why can't we just all be open minded about each others cultures??? Isn't that what they are there to learn about anyway?
