before spring break, i wanted to get my belly more toned for swimsuits cuz i was goin to florida, and i didnt really diet but i just cut out the junk, like chips and cookies, etc. i still ate desserts, just less often because it is important not to deprive yourself.....and i did 100-300 sit ups a day, but only doing 100 at a time and then more later. that got my belly less pudgy looking and i saw results within one week!!! but then after that i slowed it down to 50-100 a day..... good luck!!!!

that is not too much to weigh by the way!!!! im 13 and less than 5 feet and just a little over 100 and i could be in better shape at times but im not fat!!! tell ur friends that it bothers you and if it bothers u too much, get different friends.....cuz thats kinda mean

Well first of all, what you call your self on yahoo avatars "hate me" is bad, loosing weight starts at the mind, If you believe you'll drop 25 lbs, you will, and saying "2 fat 4 boyz" is bad, you shouldnt want to loose weight just because the boys will like you better, you shouldwant to do it for your health! Try running, only eating 1000 calories a day, run at least 1/2 a mile a day, or join a gym, GOOD LUCK!

112 is not fat for someone who is 5'1". How much weight do you want to lose, because according to my Weight Watcher's book, a person who is 5'1" should not weigh less than 106 pounds and should not weigh more than 132 pounds. Therefore, your weight is actually perfect for someone who is your height. I bet when you look in the mirror what you see is not what everyone else sees. You see what you think everyone else sees. Everyone goes through that, especially females. If you want to tone your body, you can roller-blade, jog, take up a sport at school. You are young and it's very easy for you to be active. But don't develop a warped body image. Talk to your doctor when you go for your check up and see what he/she recommends.

start with changing your avatar name from "hate me". that speaks loudly and is very damaging to your self esteem.

many say avoid the word "diet" and use modify instead. keep a journal of the foods and drinks you consume...that way you can see what junk needs to be eliminated. eat more fruits, veggies, and other healthier foods and drink lots of water. snack on popcorn instead of chips. eat nuts and get some exercise...walking at a good brisk pace is better than running. get your headset, good tennis shoes and hit the pavement baby girl at least 3 days a week or at least an hour. don't let somebody's name calling be the reason for your weight loss desires...do it because you want to. get your girlfriends to walk with you, or walk your dog if you've got one. maybe mom will walk with you. i'm so glad you realize the magazine bone rack girl of size 0 or 2 is unrealistic and too small. remember everyone's body is different and your weight has to be comfortable and complementary to you.

you'll be feeling better and fine in no time.

Your bmi is healthy according to the hcild bmi calculator and you sound great :) Kids are so cruel about weight, you have to be this perfect somebody and it isnt reliastic to try to measure up to it. Eating healthy and excercising is always a good idea, not just to lose weight but bc its about health and overweight prevention. And a size 0 isnt necessarily too thin, depends if your bone structure is tiny and if the bmi is healthy and if your at that weight to be a size 0 in a healthy manner. Im 5ft3, weigh 108, bmi is healthy range and Im a size 0, I eat very healthy(and often) and excercise

Good idea, live your life for the boys. Riding a bike, or joining a sports team will tone you out, but I wouldnt think you need to lose any weight. If you think you are to fat for the boys and that is your concern at your age you have more to worry about than your weight. work on building up your self esteem.

actually...that's in a very healthy range. also, you are quite young, so you will be growing more.
kids your age are just...mean. so don't take the fat jokes to heart. it really isn't healthy for you to begin a diet/exercise routine because your body is still growing; therefore, you need to intake more calories, etc. than what may be reccomended on any website due to the fact that diet websites are targeted towards adults.
just learn to be comfortable in your own skin...you will be amazed at how your body will grow in the next few years as you become a woman!

Why do you keep on asking this same exact question? You are NOT fat. You are average. If anyone is making fun of you, they have issues. But if you really do want to get in better shape, like most people have said, just exercise on a regular basis and watch what you eat.

Wow are you serious? That isn't fat. It's considered "normal". But if it makes you feel better, go run and do excerises to tone out your muscles. You know like situps and crunches for the stomach . If you really want to lose weight stick with running and don't slack off.

do home excersizes like crunches, stairs, or get a workout video. Walk around the block after school and after dinner. Take the stairs, not the escalator. Dont fill your plate at dinner and eat healthier snacks. Doing little things can really make a difference.
