I've heard various stories about Lilith and want to do some more in depth research. If you have any sources such as books or websites please share. Thanks!

i like to call them the two creation thoughts of Genesis the 1st tale which starts Genesis a million and ends Genesis 2:3 the 2d tale starts with Genesis 2:4 and maintains onward. on the top of Genesis a million:27 it states that God created the two guy and woman which gave upward thrust to the perception that guy and woman have been created on an identical time in an identical way wherein the guy replaced into Adam and since the story is going the lady replaced into Lilith. yet of direction you ought to achieve that the Lilith tale is in basic terms that a narrative in certainty the Hebrews did not even provide her a acceptance the call originated latter on however the Lilith tale is folklore. The Lilith tale began for the time of the Babylonian exile of the Jews inspite of the undeniable fact that it would evolve for the time of the midsection an prolonged time in Europe.

I would like to know where you came up with the idea that Lilith was Adam's first wife. The Bible states that God created Adam and then caused a deep sleep to come upon Adam during which time He took a rib from Adam and made Eve. When Adam awoke, God presented the woman to him and Adam called her Eve because she was the mother of all living.

Eve was Adam's first and ONLY wife. Lilith I believe is a demon from hell that Satan uses to destroy faith and put doubt in people's mind. Or she's just a myth, along with the stories of Greek, Roman, Norse and so on deities. Just stories, no more then that.

Lilith,
There is no such person mentioned in the BIBLE. Satan has friends who enjoy mixing up GOD's People. Just ignore this trash.
Thanks,
Eds

It may not qualify as research, but George MacDonald wrote a very good fantasy novel called "Lilith", about her. It's a minor classic, and you can still get it through Barnes and Noble.

I heard that Lilith was Adam's first wife, and that one reason she left him was that he was terrible in bed (would only do it in the missionary position.)

You could try checking their local courthouse's records for the divorce papers.

i recall reading a website which showed 2 separate tracks -- and the "wife" theory from ben-sira was meant as a joke or metaphor...go figure.
