Look I've gone out with this guy twice but he can't be affectionate. But he's a gentlemen and a great guy but doesn't do physical things. I mean the least he can do is hold my hand. I don't want to be the one making the sacrifices in the relationship. I like him but I don't know what to do. FYI I'm 13.

I've been doing stuff like making sure we go out to movies, making sure he's comfortable wherever we go. He actually denied he ever went out with me the last time we broke up. I don't want to get hurt and I don't want to be needy. I really like him though and he just doesn't seem ready. So I should better ask what should I do to make him feel more comfortable.

Hi! I agree with some other people who posted about you being a little too young to date. But if you are going to be dating, I definitely think you shouldn't be worried about being physical, especially if you only went out with him twice. That shouldn't be a problem even for adults.

I'm in my 20s now, and I wish I knew then what I know now. You're going to be dealing with annoying guy problems for the rest of your life whether you get married or not--be a kid and have fun while you still can!

You should make eye contact or something with him while you two are watching a movie on the couch, and just keep looking at his lips and then his eyes while you're making eye contact. I think he'll get the hint. he might not kiss you the first time you do this, but maybe the second time. You can also yawn and then lay your head on his shoulder. Guys like that; I did that to a guy last night and I could tell he really liked it...I should have kissed him though, because I might never see him again.

Well if your 13 then that would mean he would be around 13 years old

It's probably his first time dating so of course he doesnt want to make you made by going too fast

If its not his first time then he probably made a mistake before and doesnt want to do it again

Try to make the first move and see what he will do then decide

I dont know how old this guy or how outgoing he is but theres a good chance that hes afraid of getting physical. I agree it is his "responsibility" to initiate the contact but you might have to encourage him by making it obvious you like him. You might just grab his hand when y'all are walking and see how he reacts. If you are not comfortable doing this or he continues to do nothing it is likely that your attraction for this guy will fade.

These have been real dates havent they? He knows you like him?

Take your time. sounds like you're both too young. next time you'll be crying cause he won't talk to you because you do put out. Watch your reputation. Do you consider you wanting a more physical relationship a sacrifice?

Yeah he likes you probably.....from what i see he doesn't wanna rush things...hes the kind of guy that wants to be independent. if thats not the reason then he probably wants to play hard to get or tease you around like that. guys play games like that. all i have to say is that i know for a fact that he isn't desperate. good luck and best wishes
