Would he be gunned down cold by the CIA?

Interesting Question, When Moses gave the Israelites the ten commandment it was aprox 2000 years before their Masiah {Jesus} came. When He had arrived their religion had changed so much due to traditions,greed ,etc that spiritualy they did not accept Him and had Him killed. Today it has been a little over 2000 years since Jesus walked on the earth and the same exact thing has happened to so called christianity so you might be correct in your assumption. Most of christendoms teachings are rooted in Paganism!
The Bible is pure and holds the answers.

Well, the principles that he would advocate would be anti-establishment and anti-authoritarian, so I'd guess the Patriot Act would do a number on the whole return. Don't forget, that sort of surveillance and governmental paranoia ran high in the 0 AD Roman empire as well.
I really don't think he'd last long, and I doubt that some of the people who claim to be his biggest followers would recognize him or accept him, either.

He'd probably be mobbed and crushed to death if he wasn't torn to shreds by overweight and over-excited evangelical Christians. Just as well Jesus is most likely fictional but in the footlingly remote chance that he did live once upon a time ... he is most assuredly dead now and will not be featuring ever at a mall near you.

First Bush would send him to a different country to legally torture him and then im not sure .. i dont think the CIA would be first to get their hands on him though...

If Jesus comes back we'll kill him again.
