I'm not a huge fan of either, but I definitely prefer caramel to butterscotch. Butterscotch is so sweet that it burns my throat.

Caramel. I used to like Butterscotch, but now it gives me a headache. What is even better is the Dulce de Leche flavor.

caramel because my friends mom (who works at an ice crem shop in NYC) says that butterscotch sometimes tastes like dust

caramel. It is thicker and I think butterscotch is sweeter and has a slightly different taste.

i can tell a difference because i hate butterscotch. but i love caramel it is good on cake,apples,and icecream
