300 was an awesome movie and yes in a way it did depict reason and rationality over religion. i think today though the circumstances have changed. all major religions (judiasm, christianity, islam, hindu, etc) today seem to promote peace over violence (of course there are a few extremists in all these religions). but i think for the most part religion today is better than what it use to be which was just a way to start wars as long as the gods were on ur side.

No. it shows what happens when your country is run by a bunch of ugly corrupt priest that'll do anything if the Moneys right. Any ways that could happen even if it wasn't religious when you let anyone have that amount of influence and no one to keep them in check they're going to become corrupt since people are fragile. and priest don't run the country or anybody who doesn't choose to follow them.

The movie depicts the Battle of Thermopylae. It didn't intend to bash religion, it merely portrayed the fact that ancient Greeks believed the gods influenced aspects of every day life.
However, I could see where you could get that interpretation.
The movie was awesome, by the way.

It would take a cartoon to make the case !!
There is a way that seems right to man, but the ways thereof are the ways of death !!

No. I think it depicts a very interesting historical brawl that was later turned into a very kick@$$ Frank Miller Graphic novel.
