Best Kids' Menu: Senators Grille at the Holiday Inn on the Hill serves free food to kids 12 and under (with an adult) at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The portions may not be huge, but hey, who's complaining? Youngsters can choose among a bunch of well-prepared kid faves -- pancakes, hamburgers, pizza, and the like -- on the kids' menu.
Sequoia, 3000 K St. (tel. 202/944-4200), perched on the Potomac in Georgetown, has a drop-dead view of the riverfront and pretty good food.
NICK'S RIVERSIDE GRILLE. This restaurant along Georgetown's waterfront offers up a relaxed outdoor bar with a more low-key atmosphere than the see-and-be-seen attitude of neighboring Sequoia. And through the end of September, Nick's will be slinging more than burgers and fries. On Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m., the restaurant will offer kids 12 and younger free craft kits: junior can make a sun visor, or other arts project. The group's Annapolis restaurant, Rockfish (400 Sixth St.; 410-267-1800; http://www.rockfishmd.com/ ), features a similar project with free sailboat craft kits through the end of September.

My daughter love Friday's, she can eat like an adult, and enjoy her kids menu, with games, coloring, connect the dots, and so forth, it keeps her entertained, so we don't have to.
