Men are economic leaders of their family, Not the Spiritual Leaders of their family. But, Men can become spiritual Leaders of their family, if they follow their religion by spirit and not for show off.
To keep the family focused, you love every member of your family and sacrifice your belonging for the members of your family.
To be a leader of your family, you have to present exemplary behaviour, in taking care of every member, praise good actions of all members and point out wrong doings, without damaging the honour of a family member, with soft words.
Remember, one thing, that your knowledge is less than your younger ones..
Knowledge is always growing with time, so, new generation is more literate as compared to previous generation. You can only be a family leader, if accept from heart, that your children are going to excell in knowledge, if they do desire to be.

I'm sorry, but in a Dianic Wiccan family, the woman tends to be the spiritual leader ... then again, I'm not exactly a Dianic Wiccan, but simply a Wiccan, and the Parents are the spiritual leaders in such a family.
Perhaps that's the better way, in which case children see TWO strong parents, rather than a relationship which reinforces the devaluation of women.

Uh? My family is democratic in that we all have a say. So we have no leader.
And in matters of faith we feel that's down to the individual in question. I don't think you can force your beliefs on someone else (well, I suppose you can try...)
As for 'focused', we talk to each other. Over dinner mostly, though at most other opportunities too. Great way to feel part of something I think.
I'm not sure if that answers your question. Or whether it was aimed at me really. Oh well.

Men are the spiritual leaders whether they choose to be or not. God gave them this position and whatever way they go spiritually is how they are leading. Just like Bush he is the president and however you see it he is leading for bad or good.
If you worship at the altar of atheism the chances are that your family will also.
If you lead your family to church and hold bible study and prayer with them in the home, then the chances are that they will come to know Christ and serve him..

We attend Bible study together. We attend church services together. We discuss religious matters together and use the Bible to strengthen our position whenever possible. We read, study, and obey GOD's WORD in the BIBLE because that is what we are told to do. The man of the home (dad) should be doing these things in every home that follows Christ and HIS CHURCH. Have a great evening.
Thanks,
Eds

Atheists such as myself would make rather poor spiritual leaders.
However, men and women deserve equal roles. Of course, I doubt the misogynistic Bible would allow such behavior.
