Not sure why its under jokes and riddles...........but i dont think there is anything funny about being alcohol dependent.
But to answer your question, yes they would be classed as an alcoholic but its more important that they class themselves as one, if youre looking to help them.

Yes. The word "CAN'T" sums it up. If they have to have alcohol everyday than that is definitely cause for alarm. I know. Someone in my family is an alcoholic and cannot go a day without having a drink or two or three or four. It's really sad and disgusting to watch someone ruin their life.

If your drinking alcohol impacts on your daily life - you have a problem... I don't care if you drink once a month or every hour ON the hour - if it interferes with what you SHOULD be doing - you have a drink problem!
That being said - (and here comes the case for the plaintiff) - if you can still get up when you need to get up and do what you need to do - EVERY DAY - then I don't think you have much to worry about... or is that the gin talking?

Yes. Some people do drink everyday by having a glass of wine at meal times which is fine but if you get p*ssed everyday and you can't go a day without a drink, then you've got problems.

no i consider acholic is soem oen who change there veiw and becomes different person when they drink i know peopel that drink alittle every day and i wouldnt consider them that

It's less about you calling them an alcoholic, what do they call themselves? Sounds to me like they are exhibiting the signs.
