In about three weeks, im leaving for Iraq. I broke up with this girl about 4 months ago. I still love her as much as i can and more, i still love her daughter as if she was my own daughter. She's back with her baby's dad, a dad went to prison for drinking and driving, when he got out, he just saw his daughter only on the holidays. I want to tell her that i still love her, even standing on the road, having a sign saying that i love her or having a article in the paper telling her that i still love her. But the question is, should i tell her, knowing that she's with him, might destroy a relationship or telling one true love in my heart that i love her still.

First I answered part two. Anyways, yes you should tell her. Take a chance if it is true love if you don't you may not have that chance again and will always regret it. If you know the babys dad is a dead beat offer to set her up and help her financially if she will wait for you. It's worth a shot.

Why did you all break up?

I'm a romantic, I think since you're going to Iraq you should tell her, then while you're deployed she can make up her own mind as to who she wants to be with. I'm saying this because I think the guy she's with sounds like bad news and you seem like a sweet guy. Don't try to get her into bed or anything, just let her know. Don't do anything grand like let the paper publish a love letter, that's embarrassing... just call her up, etc.

Yeah you should tell her man. You don't know if you'll be coming back from the war. Get everything off your chest now so it won't be effecting you once you get over there.
She should know someone still cares for her and her child.

You don't know if you'll ever get a second chance to tell the girl you love more then the world youl ove her. Tell her...

I think that you should tell her that you still love her. It might change things and she might feel the same way about you. You need to follow your heart and tell her the truth and any way you do it, I'm sure it will get the message through to her.

good luck

Yes, you should tell her. You don't want to go away knowing that you had unfinished business that wasn't taken care of. If you feel this deeply for a person it's only right to let that person know how you really feel about them. By the way, I just want to say "Thank you" I want you to know that you are appreciated for protecting our country. Take care.

Speaking from a woman's perspective, I would want to know if a man loved me.

Regardless of my current position.

God bless you and keep you safe, and thank you.

Tell her, because if you dont, you will never know how she feels, and you will wonder for years.
