Y'all are right about the Amish, they forgave that nut so quickly. I don't think I could forgive someone for killing my child that quickly. What faith they must have.

Yeah, the Amish. The love and forgiveness they showed to the man who shot their girls and his family. THAT is LOVE!

I also truly admire the Amish...not only for their simple way of life, but for their constant devotion to God and their willingness and ability to forgive so readily. Over 40 members of the Amish community attended the funeral of that man who held those Amish schoolgirls hostage and then shot them. I saw a documentary about the incident on TLC and a couple of the Amish people they spoke to said that they had forgiven him "Hate the sin...not the sinner" is what they said. We should all try to live that way. Incidentally, it would take some getting used to, but the way the world is going today....I could probably get used to no phone, no TV, and no electricity in exchange for some peace.

I admire Islam for it's purity and common sense. These day's though Islam is mis understood. Thanks to the Media it is falsley shown to the world it has lost it's meaning. The media is used for rich peoples advantage for oil and war, most Islamic countries have the sources of oil, petrol, coal, gas even Water. Islam means letting yourself go for the way of god and doing everything for the sake of God. It is totally against war and viokence, it can only be used if Islam is under a threat, which is common sense wouldn't you protect your family if you were under athreat. It is built up by peace, even to your neighbours, everything should be love for the sake of God. When you do everything for the sake of God than their is no guilt, their is no anger becuase you doit for God and you don't expect anything back. It is simple in sense you believe in One god, the creator of universe and all mankind. It is also the only religion where it has the proof of it's sources, original Kuran written on kow skin back about 1500 years ago and no single word has been changed). The other miracle about it is that it talks about science and the worlds creation 1500 years ago when people believed world was flat till about 1600's, But, like I said the media has portaid a real false picture but guess what, alot of people are now picking up the book actually reading it and they are the ones that know the lies behind what media is portraying

I'm with you as far as the Amish are concerned. Truly those people have a complete view of the world not disturbed by ego. I could not live like that (nor could I forgive in the ways they are capable of doing), but they are truly religious people.

Actually, there are a few. The Buddhists are up there with me, as are the Amish. However, I also strongly admire the philosophical Satanist sects. It has to take a lot of stregnth to walk through each day and not pound the crap out of people ignorant of your religion who still tell you how wrong it is and what you believe.

I admire the devotion of Muslims--how sacred their holidays are, the tradition of making a pilgrimage to Mecca, and even just the numerous prayers during the course of an average day.
