Hi, I think it does. I moved to Las Vegas for a new job that requires I work on Sun. I went to church at first, but I haven't been since Christmas. Believe me, I know there's more to being a Christian than going to church, but my life has gotten significantly worse since not going. I' m back on anti-depressants, and had a horrible stint in my 7 year long relationship. Nothing seems to be going my way and I think that's why. I still pray and when I do, I feel more at peace. So yes, I think anxiety can measure your distance from God.

I believe that having faith in God does help us when we face challenges in life. There is a real sense of security knowing we are not alone and that God is with us in our trials. I also believe that those who have no relationship with God can have more anxiety in life and use other unhealthy things to cope (look at the examples we have in Hollywood. They have so much yet have to use drugs, alcohol, etc. to cope).
There are times though that life can be especially hard.I believe we also should seek the help of a good physician to help us medically if needed too. Prayer does work wonders though - I know it helps me considerably in my life. Trust me my life has been hard, but I am strong because of my faith.

I'm fairly far from him..I'm pretty stresses alot of the time...but I really don't feel thats the reason...Personally I feel the need to make everything ok for everyone all the time. I don't think God can help me with that...I think he may be angry because I have a type of God complex:)

That's an excellent question. I would guess that anxiety is in direct relation to separation from God. If you are completely trusting in yourself and your ties to God, anxiety can't exist.

No! It measures how much attention you got or didn't get from your parents (esp. your mother), and how much resulting separation anxiety you have. The "God thing" is merely a crutch to avoid reality.

yes, you thinking right, your level of anxiety measure the distance of GOd, when you got cool, peace in mind you reached near to GOd, when you will feel power of God, you wil get every thing easily, why need to do meditation-Pooja-Prayers , because this all spiritual tools can give peace-coolness in mind, then they all help to reach near to God, we can get peace-happy life with help of these tools, so it is very important that do meditation evry day minimum 5 minutes/do pooja/pray every day

No!!! You are never far from God as long as you choose to be near Him. But it does say something about your faith that He will take care of you.
