You're not the only one confused..

Kill your friend, eliminate the enemies. Lol I'm just kidding..

When my friend dated this person I liked, we were all friends and all, I just told him not to brag about it to me. Now.. you might want to persuade.. James? that he won't get killed going out with you.

But, despite your heart, you can choose to be a good friend. Good friends are rare, and they are the ones who are there for you when romances fail. If you step on a friends to get a guy, it shows him that he has control over you and it shows her that you don't care about her or her feelings. Who will be there for you if things don't work out? Also, if James was kissing you, why didn't he ask you out then? Why is he with your friend Sarah instead? That seems suspicious to me; you may be better off moving on. Moving on doesn't necessarily mean jumping into a relationship either - if you still like James, using someone to help you get over him won't do you any good - and it's unfair to the person you've started seeing. Take some time to reconnect with yourself and think about what you do want - and what you don't want. You have to know yourself and be able to trust your instincts and motivations before you get into a romantic relationship. Good luck!

All i will say is purely make an effort and in line with possibility issues will flow decrease back to everyday, besides the fact that that's not hassle-free because of fact as quickly as you go that line from friendship to relationship i think of it complicates your friendship much extra and then once you ruin up that's not hassle-free to easily be a chum to the different guy or woman for the reason which you have deeper thoughts in touch than in basic terms a chum.

It does not seem that the guy you like has much to do with you and it does not seem that you and him are in a real relationship, his lack of commitment shows that if he see what he likes he goes for it without cost. He is dating you friend, but your friend has not told you what she thinks because she thinks that she is getting lucky and wants to make you jealous. He is not worth much more effort, let him be with your friend and find you someone that you can share your feelings with and one that will be kind to you. There is going to be no chance that your friend will give this guy up anytime soon.

Ok i didn't read your whole post but i'll tell you that 19 is too old for you, you'll be expected to "put out", and if you make a play for him you will have drama with your friend. Just wait it out, if he's hitting on you when he's with her, he'd probably do the same thing to you if you were with him. Focus on your studies, you're wasting your time.
