Hi

Two days ago i recently came out of hospital after having a punched lung went in last friday by ambulance and had a steady 150-170 pulse rate with out moving. Until they found out i had a punched lung and inserted a chest drain and that fix it and my breathing.

But now that i came back im worried about my current pulse rate

When im sitting its 68-115 but average for me is 89-95. pulse rate of 65-79 is if im realy calm and 115 is if i moved by going down stairs or summit.

I have Anxiety levels so that affect it also but im wondering is my pulse rate oki?

'Yes, for the Most part.

Your Pulse is Normal when you sit down. But it sounds like when you move, your pulse gets too high. This might be because of the Lung that was hurt. So, your Pulse may get Lower over time, when you are Active.

I would suggest you get some Excersize, and get your Pulse up, so you Lungs get Strong agian. Your Pulse should go down after a while, as you body will adapt & your Lung will Heal.

But, your Pulse shouldn't be 115 when you go down stairs. You shouldn't have a Pulse higher than 95 when you Move, but if you Jog or Run around, you will have a Pulse of above 100 or so. Just start Excersizing everyday. This will Sure Help!! : )

65 to 79 when you are resting is quite normal and healthy.

Anxiety will most definitely affect your pulse. You are freaking yourself out. When you take it you are probably worrying that it is too high and this makes it get higher. Trust me, i had an anxiety problem and I used to check my pulse constantly, I thought it was going too fast and it was a bit fast because i was getting myself all hyped up. First of all, stop worrying about it, it is hard, but just stop taking your pulse. It is normal to be worried after having to go to the hospital, but they wouldn't have let you come home if you weren't okay. You are only 17 way too young to have heart problems, relax, try to get out and exercise when you can, this will get rid of anxiety. I the anxiety get s to be too much to deal with, talk to your doctor you don't want to spend your life worrying. Take it from somebody that has been there. Okay? Take it easy.

Your pulse will be high when you exercise, it is supposed to do that, but get out, get active and get your heart pumping it will make you stronger and healthier. Eat a healthy diet, as soon as i quit eating sugar and caffeine and began exercising i have had no anxiety.

You're pulse rate is farely quick, this might give you reason to be a bit worried about it. My suggestion is to moniter your pulse rate and copy it down for a couple of days and then go see a doctor about it. Make sure you're eating healthily and ask him what could be causing such a high pulse rate. You could be out of shape or you could have something else going on. kSo go see your doctor and see what he has to say.

Well the normal pulse rate at it's resting level is somewhere around 86 beats per minute. Also it depends if your adrenalin is up so it'll beat faster.

Your pulse rate is fine. As long as you don't get stressed out too much. But from the looks of it, you seem healthy to me.
