REJECTION is the main reason. Guys have low self estteem too. They might really like a girl , but the pain of being rejected is so great they won't say anything and just be friends hoping one day things will just flow into something more. When they don't like a girl they don't want to hurt the girls feelings by expressing how they arent interested. Julian

Some guys like to wait until they are absolutely sure that they won't get hurt by admitting that they like a girl. On the other hand, I am in a situation right now where this girl has been flirting with me. I'm not interested in her but I don't want to hurt her. I try to keep my distance, but it doesn't help. Maybe she needs to get hurt.

Well the reason we don't admit we like a girl is cause if we do and she doesn't like us back it hurts and sucks. Then are feelings get hurt . If someone liked us and then we admitted we liked then then they have control. Right now a girl I know said she liked me and I started falling for her..now she ignores me and blows me off...so I think it was all mind games.
And the reason we don't tell you we don't like you is cause we don't want to hurt your feelings ...Some guys string women along..as most women get a guy interested and then outta nowhere ignore him.
It sucks not knowing huh...

Guys won't admit that they like girls because the possibility of rejection is too great of a risk to take.
Guys are scared out of their minds of rejection and the guys who won't admit who they like are afraid that if the girl finds out that he likes her, she won't like him back, thus rejecting him - therefore causing him to be both embarrassed and hurt and NO ego-boosted male wants to feel like that.

Well that's the difference between a boy and a man. Because a man will tell a girll whether they like her ot not. But a boy like to play games. So you need to know a boy is a boy and a man is a man.

No one wants to be rejected.
If a guy doesn't like you, he won't talk to you.
Men are always thinking with their little head not the big one. If a guy is talking to you at all it is because he likes you or one of your friends or someone you know and he knows you know them.
Ask him if he likes one of your friends and see what he says then...
If he doesn't like any of your friends then he likes you.

Often a guy thinks that his crush doesnt like him back, and he doesnt want her to find out he likes her because then it would just be awkward, dont you think? and its not just guys that dont tell people things. I know so many girls who dont say things to their boyfriends because they think "oh he should already know".
