So hard to find a friend to come to a concert with me, and I really want to go....

Any safety tips from frequent concert-goers would be awesome.

I think it's probably a bad move to go to Greenwich Village alone, unless you already live there.

If you're going to be headed back to Queens, Hoboken, Stamford, or even the Upper West Side afterward, you may just find that the subways stopped running, and there are no taxis. It's a long walk to anywhere.

If you do go alone, take a cell phone, and arrange to call someone every hour until you get home.

Oh yeah. NYC is the safest largest city in the country these days.

Be aware of your surroudings and don't advertise that you are alone. Don't use substances.

NYC safe? Yeah, right. I'm sure that you can find a suitable date unless you're as homely as home made soap or your breath smells like a sack of buttholes.
