I wish to learn more about Islam and its faith and tenets. I adore it the way it protects itself from external pollution. It is a religion with substance.

I think the extreme forms of it, protects humanity from the good part of itself; i.e, it even seems to suppress love.

On the otherhand, some forms of it, do teach a person to live a full honest pure life.

All religions have substance. The only thing is whether or not you believe them to be TRUE. Therein lies debate.

In the end it comes to faith.

My objection to some forms of Islam, is that they take faith out of the equation and replace it with obligation. Typically by some people who benefit by having others follow their form of the faith.

In terms of Islam, there is MUCH debate about true Islam.
You have Shite, Shia, and Suffi too. Some very conservative and some not so conservative.
