recently i took my ex to a dance as my date. things werent awkward at all because we had establisthed ahead of time that we were just friends. But during the entire dance he was either holding my hand or had his arms around me. And even when we would be sitting down he'd find some reason to touch me or he'd stop what he was doing if a slow song came on so that we could dance. after the dance he aslo stayed over my house for a few hours just to hang out even though my friends were there and he was the only guy. my friends say if he thinks were just friends that his definition is really weird because hes acting as if he was more than a friend. what do u think?

Sounds to me that your ex still has a thing for you. But, sometimes it's like that. It's very difficult for some people to turn their feelings off, especially under the circumstances of being together at a dance. Dances are very intimate occasions. The fact that you asked him to go with you probably ignited some unresolved feelings that your ex still has for you and made him start thinking that "maybe...just maybe...she still likes me and still wants to be with me." So I'm guessing the problem is that you just want to be his friend. Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. It is very difficult to stay friends with an ex. One person always seems to eventually want more out of the friendship then "friendship." So you have to decide what you want. If you don't want to be with him, don't ask him out on anymore dates because I guarantee that your ex is still pining for you, and if you keep throwing him bones...he'll keep fetching.

Ask him. My bf just recently broke up with me and we had plans before he decided to do this. He said we could still go ahead with our plans because we are still friends. Of course I originally wanted to because I have feelings for him that are still more than friends. I thought that at least I'd be able to be around him. But after more thought, I knew it would be wrong to pretend to be friends. He may have feelings for you and is hoping for the best. Or he may just want to be friends but only knows how to treat you as his gf. I would ask him. Sounds like you guys have a great relationship if you're able to still be friends. I'm sure he'd be honest with his feelings. But if he still likes you...will you be able to cut it off completely?

Yeah, sounds weird as a friend. Maybe he fell into the way he acted when you were together........or he misses you. Don't put your heart out there to get stomped on again. If he wants you, he'll make a move.

I'm sure he's just being nice. I mean you can't go from bf/gf to friends with out him giving you a little extra special treatment. But if he really wanted you you would know it, with out question.

I think he may regret breaking up with you, he's confused, or he is thinking that there's "no strings attached" so that's why he's acting all sweet. Just set boundaries and if he keeps this up have a frank talk with him.

Who broke it off? If you broke it off, then he definately still likes you. If he broke it off, then he's either just weird like that or he might still like you. I know that I, myself, would never touch an ex girlfriend like that unless i wanted to get back together or wanted it back.

He just relly like to be around you. Tell him to chill,not that you are trying to hurt his feelings,you want to be alone for awhile. It's taking him some time to get over it.

ok.well i deffinately (ahhh forgot how to spell it) think he still likes you!! maybe you should ask him if he still has feelings for you if so maybe yall could go out again that is if u still have feelings for him, i would just ask him if he still does and tell him why you think it! hope that helps thnx
