You need to see your doc ASAP - once while I was sleeping a huge moth crawled in there and the more I tried to pull it out the further I rammed it into my ear.
It was the worst thing EVER.... It truly could be a huge bug with large claws that will scratch and dig at your ear drum causing you to go deaf....

Try drinking water and swallowing saliva. If that doesn't help, take a warm shower and then clean your ear with a cotton swab. If it is still clogged in the morning, make an appointment with your doctor because if it is an infection, the sooner you will get treatment for it the better.

you know the same thing is happening to me and it's also in my left ear. Some times it opens up for 3 seconds, but then it closes. I have tried the heating pad. It helps, but it doesn't open it. I recommend you try the heating pad and if it doesn't work go to the doctors.

Murine makes ear drops that are useful for softening inner ear wax. I put the little bottle in a glass of warm water to heat it up gradually and then I put a couple of drops in two or three times a day for three days. There is also a little rubber syringe that comes in the 'ear wash' kit...after the few days of applying the drops, fill the syringe up with warm water and 'flush' the wax out. The wax appeared white when it came out and voila! Your hearing improves.

I once had this problem after getting off a long plane ride where my ears didn't un-pop I went to the doctor and he gave me some kind of medication and it cleared up in a day or two.

you could try some over-the-counter ear cleaners. my sister just had this problem and i don't remember what brand she used, but she used these drops in her ear 2x a day for like 4 days and it cleared right up!
just don't use q-tips to clear it up b/c that might push the wax down further into the small tubes of your ear, which is a place that is hard to clean out.

that happened to me once, and this huge glob of wax finally oozed out, and it was so nasty!
But it was a relief.
It took like 20 Q-tips to clean all that out.
