Looks white-trashy, doesn't it, but they don't want the upholstery to get dirty. Sometimes, too, they leave a cover on the couch to use when it's chilly in the room.

It could be one of 2 reasons. They could leave it there to be handy when it gets a little chilly and they want to cover up OR they may like it a lot, it may be special and they want to show it off.

because it gives a home a nice cozey look and if your cold you can put it on over you. ^_^
