Sneezing is the body's way of cleaning out the nose, which acts like a filter for our respiratory system. What happens is when you inhale through your nose, dust particles and other "contaminants" are caught by the mucus in the nose... which means the air that we inhale into our longs is cleaner and we are less likely to get sick. When the nose is overwhelmed by dust and other contaminants, you sneeze to clean it out.
