Is 4 /5 days enough..?

Question

time to put ear drops in your ears to soften the blockage(wax) before getting your ears syringed? I feel like the drops (cerumol) are doing nothing and i am kind of sick of it all, but i don't want the syringing to be sore! i have already seen my doctor who told me there was no infection, most likely a blockage, which i can feel when i put the drops in, so i was thinking of going to see the nurse on tuesday because if i don't I wont be able to go until friday.

Any advice from people who have been in the same situation?? Thanks to everyone who answered my question a day or two ago! x

cerumol is not the best liquid for the job, bicarb based liquids are better, but from experience i'd say warmed olive oil used regularly (also recommended by health proffesionals) usually eliminates the need for syringing. warm on a teaspoon for a few seconds over hot water.

Three days of putting drops in is long enough to make wax soft enough to be syringed. It does feel like the drops are doing nothing - but of course they are - and you will have sore ears if the wax is not softened, plus all the wax won`t be extracted -

You will feel a massive difference when the wax is removed, your hearing will be so much better ---I SAID YOUR HEARING WILL BE SO MUCH BETTER !!

i think you must have a blockage as the drops i put in worked overnight. Go to the doctor or nurse get it shringed.

They should clean themselves. if you hold your nose and blow with your mouth closed your ears should pop and see what happens
