Is it normal for a tat on the top of your foot to make your foot and ankle swell?
I just got a new tat, and my foot/ankle is SOOO swollen.

it is normal and totally expected. my foot swole so big that of a day it would barely fit into the flip flop i was wearing. it should swell for atleast a week. keep it elevated and take an anti-inflamatory. try not to walk around much for the first couple of days. don't even try to put socks or shoes on it until it is completely healed.

normally the area tends to swell up right after you get it and doesn't go down until a day or 2 after. your foot is a really sensitive area so maybe it's just reacting harshly to the "trauma" of the tattoo. if it doesn't go away within a day or 2 i'd ask your artist or a doctor what's up

yes :) but get it check if swelling does'nt go down ....give it 2 days tops

I don't know about that. That would be something you should ask your artist. Be careful!
