Just pray and ask the Lord to take that feeling of obligation away from him and turn it into Love for God!!! And his own will....just enjoy it and soon he will get converted...

well, since his conscience is telling him to go, it's clearly his decision at this point. There must be some reason he feels as though he needs to be there: if nothing else, to support you.
Let him go with you once and see how he feels about it. I would love it if my boyfriend went to church with me, so feel lucky.!

If you're going and he says he's going to come along, just say, "Oh no, you don't have to." If he insists, you can say, "No really it's fine, it's only church, you don't have to come if you don't want to." If he still insists then just let him come, if he doesn't like it - you've made it clear that he has options so it's left up to him!

You need to sit down and tell him that if your church is not his cup of tea that he is to find one that he is comfortable with and enjoys.

If he CHOOSES to attend church with you, let him. he's showing respect for your beliefs, so respect his decision. if his attendance at church doesn't work out, let him stay home if he changes his mind.

You need to let him be a big enough boy to MAKE that choice...if he is already, he can't complain about it.
