You are saved.

God doesnt see what religious sect you choose to align yourself with. he only knows if you were true to Him.

If you accept Christ and are true to God, then you are saved.

Now my question: Is there some segment of people who think Mormons dont believe in Christ?

If so they are sadly uninformed and most likely aren't worth worry about anyway.

Although not a Mormon, I did take New Testament survey courses through Brigham Young in the 80's and have a basic understanding of the LDS religion and Christianity.

As far as my understanding and belief about Christianity goes, my short answer is Yes.

I qualify that only by saying that the act of professing Christ as savior is more than just lip service. It also requires repentance, which in my understanding of the New Testament text in Greek and Aramaic basically means turning from your old ways.

So if you decide that you believe what Christ said, and then you reject sin by living according to the principles he preached, (again I know we are all human and do sin, but we make the effort and really try) then yes, accroding to what I have read then you will be saved.

On a side note, I believe in many ways the LDS church tends to practice that more vigorously than many other religions. They do have strong family values and strict beliefs about what they put into their bodies.

I do have differences with some of their beliefs, but I do not focus on that. To each his own. I choose a different faith because of what I believe and I respect the right of everyone to do the same.

EDIT:The Mormon church sees God as the Supreme Being of the universe. However, He gradually acquired that position over a long period of time by living a perfect and righteous life. God the Father has a body (flesh and bones). The Christian church proclaims God as eternally and infinitely supreme. He is the same today as always. He is a spirit Being. The Mormon church views Jesus and Satan as spirit brothers and sons of God. God put forth His plan of salvation for the world, and Satan proposed his own plan. Jesus accepted the Father's plan and offered to implement it as the Savior. The Father chose Jesus, and the spirit of Jesus was given a body through the virgin Mary. He was crucified on a Roman cross, and rose from the dead three days later to establish His deity. The character and life of Jesus is attainable by anyone who performs at such a righteous level. The Christian church teaches that Jesus Christ has existed eternally as the Son of God, the second "person" of the Trinity. Jesus took on human flesh about 2000 years ago and was born into the world through the virgin Mary. He was crucified on a Roman cross for our sins, and rose from the dead three days later to establish His deity. to answer your question, i cant say because i do not know your relationship with God. I can show you that their teachings do not line up with the bible..Some early LDS Church leaders taught that Jesus Christ was a polygamist. Orson Hyde implied in his writings that Jesus married Mary, Martha and "the other Mary." Hyde also believed that Jesus had fathered children. According to the Encyclopedia of Mormonism: "Latter-day Saints infer from authoritative sources of scripture and modern prophecy that there is a Heavenly Mother as well as a Heavenly Father."
The Book of Mormon declares that it contains, “as does the Bible, the fulness of the everlasting gospel.” This statement brings up several questions.
If the Bible truly does contain the "fulness of the everlasting gospel", then why is the Book of Mormon even necessary? If the Mormon Church claims to be the restoration of the gospel, then what, exactly, needed to be restored?
Also...if the Bible and the Book of Mormon both truly contain the fulness of the gospel, then those gospels should agree, shouldn’t they?

I don't know enough about the mormon religion, so i can't answer your whole question. When a christian accepts Christ as their Savior, they must also do additional things, like follow in the faith and bear fruits. It is not enough to say "Will you be my Savior" and you get to heaven.

You pose a question I am unfit to answer. This is the realm of God. My wife and I were just discussing this very thought today. You do not believe in a physical resurection of Christ. You also do not believe that Jesus and God are together in the Trinity. You also place a false text on the same level as the Bible.

I really wish I knew if having misguided thoughts of Jesus are a saving point of grace. John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave us Jesus Christ his son. That whosoever believeith in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life." So, if you believe that Jesus died for your sins and is the only way into heaven I would say you are set. If you you do not believe this it says in the Bible that there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Not much of an answer I know, but since I do not know exactly everything you believe and do not intend to study it as I have more than enough guidance with the real word of God.

Feel free to write and highlight your beliefs and I will give you an ear.

I'm a communist but I BELIEVE in jesus christ and that he is the savior of the christians so they will go to heaven, and when i talk I try to talk out of one side of my mouth at a time, and know I can fool just about anybody if my definitions of the same words don't mean the same thing...yet never tell you until it's too late.

Accepting the other things are the limitation. Do you trust in the book of mormon and Joseph Smith as a prophet of God as they ask you to? Do you hold that Joseph Smith's successors are prophets of God? Do you hold that a Mormon baptism and only a Mormon baptism will remit sin? If so, then you are a Mormon.

If I were you I wouldn't really worry what the other Christians say. I'd rather believe in the Mormon version of the afterlife, since it doesn't condemn most people to hell. At least you have three "heavens," so not everyone loses. I consider your group Christians, and I figure if they're all going, so are you.

As a member of the Mormon religion you are lowering yourself to ask what christians think because if God were here he would be far more impressed from the Mormon way of live i.e. no coffee, no alcohol, no drugs, family home evenings... than some inbred church room full of drunks and inter-related people who only know to hate others. Mormons ROCK

My question to you is do you believe in the same Jesus as I? I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the second part of the Trinity. I believe that the grace of God, through the finished work of the cross, alone saves souls from damnation. I believe that the blood of Jesus, not good works, makes restitution for my sins. I believe in a literal hell that Jesus taught in the 9th chapter of Mark. I base all of the above beliefs in the Bible (King James Version) the God inspired word of God, not a book written from the imagination of man, such as the book of morman. I will not pass judgment on you, Jesus will judge all of us.
