Okay, I wrote an earlier question without even thinking about the implications of what I wrote. I shall restate my thesis and my opinion and ask others also keep an open mind, even if the earlier question did not leave much to the imagination or intellect. I have rescently come back to the faith, having been sick of the cultural christianity that proclaimed all my friends were going to hell. I am not a troll, a crazy conservative, or cultist. I do not believe that pagans are ignorant savages, or that all people who call themselves Islam are desperatly barking up the wrong tree. I believe in the teachings of Jesus for the fact that they were good teachings, and that if you actually take a pen and history book to the text, you will learn a lot more than just accepting that the pope tells you. I am in charge of my own religion. I won't judge you, if you don't judge me. I just wondered, what other people think about Christianity, as either a culture, tradition, or as another spiritual path

I don't believe that Christianity deserves a bad rap. Christianity's core message, like most religion's messages, is that of the golden rule.
I believe some individual people deserve a bad rap for using Christianity as justification to discriminate against someone else.

I think of it as a sign of true intelligence. You see if it were popular, where would be the test? And only a true intelligent being would play the underdog to weed out the scumbag satans out of his chosen.
You now the idiots following the scumbag are following him because they are going by sight and feel he has more power. But actually the worthless scab has been stripped of all power. The only way the scum can cause witchcraft and the like to work is with our individual power that GOD gives each one of us. We are given power and authority above all the power the enemy possesses, because he has none. scumbag satan has none except what he can con each one of us out of like he did Eve in the Garden except now the scab cannot hold on to it anylonger so the idiot uses it to make the idiots more of morons and think that satan scab has the power. What a crock of you know what! Well that's enough for now, I'm ready to knock his ugly head off and I won't be able to do that until the end of days. Because then the scab won't even have the little bit he steals today.Except he cannot use it against GOD'S people, I for one know... I am an ex - wiccan witch. Take care and may God bless you.

The thing that gets me is how history always makes a quick note on J.C. during the Roman Era and continue on like it was just a "Fad" or something. And we glorify those "Kings" who conquered with a sword. (Alexander, Napoleon, etc..) But when some guy comes along and conquers with words, it's dismissed. And I also don't believe everything I hear. I'd rather search for myself, instead of settling for somebody else's opinion. (Which, most people do.) And have you noticed that this one particular religion seems to be more "Mocked" than any other so far?

The reason Christianity deserves a bad rap is because it tries to preach what it isn't: peaceful and loving.
With the fall of the Roman Empire, the librarian of Alexandria was pulled off her carriage and skinned alive. Literacy dropped. Even the Pope had to have the Bible read to him. In the first crusade, Christians killed tens of thousands of people they called "infidels". The Children's Crusade (1212) caused the deaths of nearly 50,000 children. Preachers sentenced to death and executed thousands during the Inquisition (1233-1834) for heresy and witchcraft. There were the Salem witch trials (1692) in America. The 17th Century Thirty Years War (Catholics v. protestants) wiped out tens of millions in Europe. In the Taiping Rebellion in China in the 1850's a Christian cult started a war that resulted in the slaughter of twenty million people. In the Holocaust six million Jews were murdered. Muslims and Christians in Bosnia reached a death toll of over 250,000.
See what I mean?

I wasn't here earlier, so I shall blither incoherently now... PEOPLE who use religion to deny others rights based on one particular perspective, PEOPLE who use religion as an ego-boost, etc. garner for themselves much bad karma... RELIGION isn't the culprit, however some brances of various religions prop up and feed egos and hate. PEACE does NOT come from hate propaganda, condescending behavior and other such things.

i believe that christianity and also jew , are the same as islam in their early beginigs before being tampered, islam came to complete them not to invent something new , they all call us to worship one GOD and none but him , but some christians and some jews messed up with original books of god that's why mohamed came , first to let arabs know about religion and god because they nearly had nothing to know about it , second to fill in spaces left by other religions , mohamed gave people whole system of life not just religion , so i believe in early non tampered bible , also i have deep faith in jesus christ as a prophet not as a god , because there's no god but god only , my disagreement with christianity concerns only two points :
1) trinity which is absolutly rejected by my heart and soul , only one god
2) the story of nailing jesus to cross , it was written different in quoran , i prefer quran version , which is : god saved jesus christ and rose him up , resembled him with the very one who betrayed him , that's why he took it all silent cuz he did regretted betraying christ , and even if i were christian i would have preferred this version , my prophet being saved by his god is thousand times better than claiming that GOD was crossed by people it is hard to beleive that creatures might nail the creator ( christians do believe he is god and he nailed himself for them , what could makes a god do that when he can just FORGIVE people if he wants to , also the idea of being forgiven as long as i believe in christ puts the killer and killed in one place as long as they both believe in christ )
i hope you don't find me offensive , forgive my bad english too

I respect others beliefs and paths
Yet I walk only on God paths
Believing it to be the only way
to salvation, regeneration, and to Heaven
Jesus is the only way for me
Because I believe in the Word of God
and I have had too many life experiences
not to believe.................
