And no, you can't get married in any state, in most states now you both have to have social security numbers.

We were married in Mississippi, all they ask from him was his birth cert and passport, no other paperwork.

I haven't heard of any states banning marriages? I live in IL and I married one, I have friends in several other states that are married to them too.

As long as he's in the country legally, you should be able to marry him in any state where you could legally get married.

any state. he just needs to bring the documents required by that state. some just need his passport, others may want his passport, national ID, and birth certificate.

You can get married in any state you wish, unless you are marrying him just so he he can get a green card....that's illegal.
