Nope. "Tea for the Tillerman" is still one of the ten greatest albums of my generation and still in the regular rotation of my CD player.
He has a true musical gift and I don't care what he converted to.

N,
True Christians should not "hate" anyone. We are told to love our neighbor., We are told to turn the other cheek. We are told to go out and preach the gospel. HOW could we "hate" someone and do any/all of those things? That would not make any sense to me at all. I have seen some rather strange things said by people on here who claim to be religious though. I have had the most wonderful weekend of all time. I spent this weekend with a group of Christians discussing how to best meet the needs of those who live in our home town, I spent today in two church services and singing with folks who are confined in a nursing facility. Our second church service was a "singing service" that was filled with beautiful singing of hymns and spiritual songs. That was tremendous. Between times I spent time with four of our church members at a local restaurant enjoying conversations about our lives and talking about spreading the gospel. This day was fabulous. Cat Stevens is the only one who needs to be concerned with his eternal salvation not anyone else. If you want to discuss this further, please drop me a note and I will reply. Have a great evening.
Thanks,
Eds, Christian

I hope they don't!! I personally am a strong christian living in a %98 muslim country and I have thought about converting.
Coming from a HS, conservative christian I don't think in any position it is right to hate ANYONE end of story!!
You might not agree with what they choose to do. Especially with all of the current religious problems between, unfortunatly, christans and muslims (although our religions are sooo similar!)
And for those of you asking who he is...he was a british singer who converted to Islam and now is known by the name "Yusuf Islam" and sings divine Islamic music.

This is the best religion for him, because Cat Stevens rejected Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, and rejects Jesus died on the cross for the remission of his sins and raised from the dead for his justification.
Islam is a good religion for those who deny Christ.
No, I don't hate Cat Stevens, but I pray right now, he come to Gods saving grace before it is too late.

I'm not christian, but just think old Cat got too preachy & weird, after becoming a Muslim. His music started reeking, too. What a waste!

Not really; he could believe in whatever religion he wants. It shouldn't matter to Christians nor should it matter to any other religions. It has nothing to do with me or you, thus, we should not care.

I'm not Christian, but I've ALWAYS hated Cat Stevens. I think he should have been put on the no fly/potential terrorist list the minute his first album came out.
By the Gods! I just showed my age, didn't I?
