You should NOT wash your hair everyday. It will then start making too much oil because you washed it all off! A little oil is good for your hair. Get a natural bristle brush (boar bristle) and comb your hair from top to bottom. This will help disperse the oil to all of your hair. The next day it might look a bit greasy. If it does, you can add a small amount of baby powder to your palm and rub it in at the crown of your hair. this will make it not look so oily. If you still have problems, call a stylist and make an appt. Get a good shampoo and ask any questions! Only put conditioner on the ends of your hair, not on the scalp!

Oily Hair Solutions

CAUSES: Hormone over-activity, alkaline shampoos, and washing hair too frequently.

SOLUTIONS: Using an acid-balanced shampoo for oily hair such as those from Paul Mitchell, Redken, Matrix, or All Nutrient will greatly reduce the oil. Too frequent shampooing will cause the oil glands to produce MORE oil because of the stimulation. Shampoo less often and the oil will eventually calm down.

FREQUENCY: Shampooing hair every other day will help reduce the oil problem. Always use an acid balanced shampoo.

....and don't use too much conditioner and even then not on your scalp, just your ends.
good luck :)

Around your age that will happen. Good job for washing it daily, but I would cut down the washing to every other day. This will cut the amount of oil in your hair that you wash out and your hair won't have to work as hard to keep all that oil in. I would say that if you eat candy ESPECIALLY chocolate, cut down. The less candy you eat the less grease your body and hair produces. Any type of sweets will increase the grease level. Try a different type of shampoo. Selsum Blue is for dander but I bet it would help you too. If you've changed shampoos recently, try going back to your old shampoo.
