hawaiian punch is like pure sugar, and won't do as good of a job keeping you healthy as something like gatorade. it will give you a sugar high and give you energy, but won't restore electrolytes or hydrate you as much as gatorade.

Not at all!
When I first got into the habit of looking at nutrition labels, I looked at my daily grape Hawaiian Punch.
Over 300 calories per serving
Too many carbs from the wrong sources (sugar and corn syrup)
And, since it's only 10% fruit juice, I didn't have the nutritional benefit of drinking fruit juice.

No, your better off with Gatorade, theres just as much sugar in HP then a can of regular Pepsi!
Gatorade has almost 25% less sugar in it then Hawiian Punch

Check out the nutrition information at their website:
http://www.hawaiianpunch.com/
In sum, a lot of calories, a lot of sodium, and a lot of carbs and sugar. I don't think it is a healthy drink. Sorry!
