Go to Yahoo finance, they have a list of all the house sales, and for what prices it was in the past ten years.

You can negotiate with estate agents, never pay the list price. Same with sale by owner. And even if you're renting, you can usually negotiate down.

If you're broke, go for counsel housing (sheffield is kinda dodgy, but not as bad as nottingham or liverpool or swansea)

But next time you ask this question, you should be more specific. Is it family housing? Is it for a single person, young couple, student couple, elderly couple? Sometimes housing specifies things like no pets, no children, no dfss, etc.

Hi, I live in S14 Gleadless, I don't know if you mean to buy or rented.? We bought ours with garage for £49,000 and now they are worth £90,000 so we have been told.Can't help cos I don't know if you mean rented or buying. There are some nice properties around here going cheap.
