Soft blue is calming and so is pink or green. Nothing bright, just soft, pale or muted shades.

I just painted a classroom in pale pink. The color is a clear pastel and looks very clean. CNN had a "thing" on the color pink--studies had shown it to be a calming color and some prisons were using it. I personally think any pastel color is calming--You could do pale blue or paint the ceiling a pale blue and paint fluffy white clouds on it. I am no expert but I think that would be calming.

Deep greens, like olive is very calming. As are mid - deep blues. Stay away from brights, some pastels can have the same effect as brights. You didn't say if boy or girl, the color proven most calming is pink. Some jails are using this color because it helps calm prisoners.

I did an enormous amount of research and wrote several papers on chromotherapy (color therapy) when I was in graduate school. Green is the most restful color. A light sage green would be an excellent choice for a bedroom. Additionally, green is midway between the cool and warm colors on the color spectrum. therefore the room will not be too hot in the summer, nor too cold in the winter.
Sage green is the color I would use , if it were my child. Best of luck to you.

I feel that a soft blue or green would be calming---plus keeping a lot of bold colors to a minimum would be wise. How about putting up a wall "water" fountain to give off a calming effect---unless the child would play in it.

Hello,
(ANS) In my opinion a soft pastle pink would provide a definate calming influence. Scientific research has shown that pink definately calms people down & helps to reduce aggression & stress levels.
**Earthy colours and colours that occur in nature also tend to have a calming influence.
**For example: lots of people seem to like blue & white on their computers I realised that this is because it mirrors a blue sky with white clouds. Its an attempt to remain intouch with our natural surroundings even though we might work in very unnatural conditions.

No, yet i did attempt and an excellent variety of cases to consume soup with a spoon, extraordinarily if a soup is thick (you may thicken the soup efficiently by way of including some flour). It takes greater time, so I delight in it longer
