I did it for 9 months in the womb once... but not since, I can't breath underwater... I don't have gills.

You Have To Be The Unluckiest Person Ever. On The Other Hand It Looks Like You Might Be An Exhibitionist. So... Um... There's The Silver Lining To Your Otherwise Horrible Day. To Answer You Question No I Am Not Embarrassed About My Size, But I Was When I Was Like 12-16 Since I had Seen Plenty Of Porn And Saw That Most Guys Were Hung Like Elephants (From The Front). And You Have A Wife Though Right? So That's A Win Too. On The Other Hand If You Decide To Become A Comedian This Would Kill. I Almost Died. (Like Not Kidding I Had My Chair On Its Hind Legs And Fell. My Chair Left A Crack On My Italian Tile)

Is this one of those trick questions like:
If a plane crashes on the border of the United States and Canada where are the survivors buried?
Survivors aren't buried!
If a rooster lays an egg on the top of a pitched roof which way does the egg roll down?
If a rooster laid an egg it would be a hen!
Breathing underwater is unfortunately beyond us, barring a huge breakthrough in genetic manipulation. Now, that being said, divers breath super oxygenated water when they go to great depths. A good example of this in cinema would be "The Abyss" directed by James Cameron. I believe the limit for that dive was around forty minutes but it would be really easy to just watch the movie if you wanted to prove me wrong. Basically, it would depend on how efficiently the mechanism could replace the oxygen in the water and how much oxygen was available in the system. The ability of the lungs to do that extra amount of work might also be a limiting factor.
Without the mechanism, you are pretty much left with holding your breath which averages about three to four minutes.
