Go to www.irs.gov, individual, withholding calculator, work through the prompts and you will get an accurate withholding.

The best thing for any person to do, is to withhold as close to zero (refund/bal due). This way you are using your own money and not lending it to the Government interest free. If this is how you "save" money, have your employer divert a certain amount into a savings account at each paycheck.

good luck & bless

It depends on you as an individual, if you want more money to spend during the year, better claim 2 or 4 on your W4, but if you will like a large refund after filing your taxes, claim 0, as a lot of money will be withheld from your income as tax.

Is it better for you to let the IRS, hold your money for you, and not let you earn interest with it in a savings account? Instead of sending the IRS a portion of your paycheck, every pay period, why don't you just put it in savings? If you must have a big refund at the end of the year, just go take it out of your savings, all at one time, +savings interest!!
