So there is this girl (I'll say Mary) who liked my boyfriend before he was my boyfriend and he didn't like her ,but they were friends. Then he asked me out two months ago. Now, Mary just kind of follows us around when we try to be talk to eachother privatley. My boyfriend and I know eachother through an afterschool program where you aren't technically allowed to go off with your boyfriend and isolate yourselves from the group ,and she is our friend so we don't want to tell her to go away. How can we nicley let her know that we don't enjoy her company when we are trying to talk privatley without hurting her feelings and being offended (she is a really sweet, sensative person)? All the help I can get would be great!!

2's company,,& 3's a crowd!,,,,
try to make plans without her knowing about them,,
there are many modren methods of doing this, use text messaging, online chatting and calling each other on private cell phones with him to make plans that only you 2 know about..

you can always make plans with "mary" to tell her what you want her to know about your exploits.

exclude her from your relationship, not friendship!

If you're part of an afterschool program where you're not supposed to be alone, then find a time outside of the program to get together. Invite each other home for dinner. Go to the arcade or mall together. Enjoy some group time together at the afterschool program. But don't ask Mary to assist you in breaking the rules. That wouldn't be fair to her.

Do the right thing.

Well, she is a big girl and I am sure she will understand if you tell her that you need a moment alone. Just be honest in a nice way....
