its a waste of money. start as a bar back (apprentice) or on slow shifts and study books and product knowledge. take classes and put effort in to it. dale degroff puts out a great book "the craft of the cocktail"

No, but you are better off starting as an Apprentice Bartender and learning by experience, thats how we train our bartenders.

around here, bartending school is just 8 weeks long to become licensed. so im geussing its relatively easy
