Unless you are doing something illegal when you sneak out, they'll just take you home. However; if you were to brake a window or a screen or something at your home, you could go to jail if you parents pressed charges. However; you really shouldn't sneak out if your parents tell you to stay home. You'll understand why when you are a little older. All kinds of bad things happen at night even if you are with your friends, its best if your parents know where you are.

They may call the cops but you will not be arrested on the spot. If they can prove that you have a history of sneaking out and exercise poor judgment they can swear out a warrant against you. I had my 17 year old daughter arrested via warrant when she was repeatedly sneaking out of the house at night. I called the cops each time to establish history and when I thought there was enough I went to the magistrate. She was 17 and not housed at juvenile detention. This came about after 6 months of deliberately disobeying me. You will never know the worry a parent goes through when they do not know where their child is. She is 19 now and is doing fine. She spent two nights in jail before I got her out. It was the eye opener she needed.

Straighten up and fly right, you little rebel.

Graduate high school and get A grades, then worry about being out late, because by then it won't be ILLEGAL and you might have some free time before college to just punk out.

Also my cousin did that and she got caught by the cops with her friends, and the cops told her they were looking for someone suspicious in the neighborhood and that it wasn't safe for them to be out anyways. But hey, could have just been a cop tactic.

I really don't think that you can go to jail for sneaking out of your own house. There isn't a law about it so I don't think anyone can send you to jail UNLESS you do something that is against the law while you are out.

That depends on how old are you and at what time of the night. You won't go to jail but the police may issue you a warning. If you don't obey the warning, you may be required to do community services for XX hours/days as punishment.

WTF?????????? Well, if the cops see you after 10pm in the streets without your parents or someone 18 and older. Then the give you a ticket and community service. Well, thats in C.A. And why the heck are you going to be sneaking out????????? Just concentrate on school, and something you have that is called" I live still live with my parents!!" Come one respect them and dont do stupid stuff. If you want to do it, then do it when you move out and when you wont get your parents in trouble because of you.

Yes. You could be arrested and charged with being a juvenile delinquent and sent to a boot camp facility for six months or put in a juvenile detention center for a period of time. It would depend upon the discretion of the juvenile court and if you parents felt you were out of control.

You are just asking for trouble. Once you lose your parent's trust--it will take forever to regain. Why do you need to sneak out of the house? If you are meeting friends--you have the wrong friends. Whatever you do now--stupid stuff--could impact you for the rest of your life.

I completely believe Jaime M. that's quite a confusing time because of the fact friends can completely impact your daughter's physique of recommendations. if your daughter loses this buddy for the reason which you called her mom, then this is in all risk not the style of impact which you quite want around your daughter. Your daughter needs to appreciate which you like and want to guard her, yet on a similar time she needs to earn your have faith in her. This act has completely delivered the have faith point down. i does not be like a warden, yet i could tell your daughter that I would desire to notify the different mothers and dads for the reason that is unacceptable.

you must be under 18 :-) depending on the state, if you're a minor you may be returned to your parent's home, or they'd pick you up from the police station. if you get caught up in a crime or are a repeat runaway, the consequences would be different.

don't sneak out. there will be plenty of time for you to legitimately walk out of the front door.
