The best and fastest way to lose weight is to go jogging every morning for 20 minutes. You'll be sore for a few days, but it really works! Also, try 3 sets of 10 squats every day to tone your thighs. Good luck!

Yoga is a really easy and relaxing way to tone your body. Pilates is more of a work out, but it gives you even better results. You can learn yoga for free at yogalearningcenter.com with online videos. You may also purchase DVDs and videos from the Yoga Learning Center. Winsor Pilates is a really popular pilates video that you can purchase at winsorpilates.com. Just know that Pilates is a lot harder than yoga.
Also try avoiding soda, junk food, and other empty calories. I wouldn't recommend dieting, because that never really works out, but from experience, I know that avoiding soda and junk food all together makes a huge difference. Just have a healthy, balanced diet. Low fat yogurt and dairy also helps the digestive system, which can help you lose weight quicker. Green tea speeds up the metabolism, which is also helpful.
And like everyone else has said, you're not fat. I don't know who calls you that, but you're not. There's nothing wrong with wanting to be a little bit healthier, but just keep that in the back of your mind. You don't want to get carried away over something that isn't true. Just focus on living a healthier life, and if you already are, then forget about it! Curves are nothing to be ashamed of. :)

Before you start any changes in your lifestyle and your weights, start to love your self! You have to have the confidence in order to be able to love your body and change it. Sure, it feels bad that you "seem obese standing next to your mom" but who cares for now! AT least you got boobs! Some girls just wish they do! So love the body you have now.
With the lifestyle, these are what you should do: Eat healthy and exercise! Yes, it does sound easy huh? Not really. Some people just have too many cravings to start eating those veggies and some people are lacking motivation to start moving. IT's totally normal. However, it would be more effective if you set a goal of changes every week. Like one week is to start adding more moving to your lifestyle. Next is to cut off the junky snacks and replacing them with nutritional foods. Remember, this is not a diet! This is a gradual change for your lifestyle, which helps you lose weight and keeps it off!
The motivations you want are your goals. Like fitting those jeans by the end of the month or lose 2 pounds every week. Dont let what you want at the moment to take over what you really want! Dont think this is torture too. It's helping you. Seriously!
So this is what you should do. For exercising, do 4 to 5 days of cardio. That is to do things like running, rope jumping, dancing, walking, or riding the bike. 2 to 3 days of toning, which is push up, sit ups, and exercising involving weights. Cardio burns the fat and weights and toning, well, tones you!
For eating, try to keep a food diary to record what you usually eat. Was it healthy? If not, try to change slightly each week. When you really understand healthy eating through what you feel after you eat certain things, plan your meals, Then you dont have go around and pick on stuffs because you already had a plan. When eat, dont do anything else. Just eat, enjoy the food slowly....You would soon feel full when you eat like this. Because you are eating CONSCIOUSLY. IF you are watching TV while eating, of course you'll eat more since your mind is on the tube. One last thing you should do is to never let yourself go hungry. In fact, try to have small meals every three hours! This helps you maintain your muscles and get rid of the fats!
All right, i wish i had been able to help through this. If you are actually reading this, thank you and good luck!

First of all, this is something that will take a while, no 'instant' results! But generally, eat balanced meals (don't starve or skip meals!!). You can be amazed on how much you can lose by just saying no to chips, pastries and soda!
And just walking, jogging, jump roping etc everyday for at least an hour (can be done in segments, not all at once)
Good luck, and remeber you are beautiful however you look. But i'm glad you want to get fit!

You are DEFINITELY not fat! You even said yourself, you're more curvy than fat, which most girls are looking for now days. You need curves so you don't have a little boy body! But, if you really wanna loose a couple pounds, do it a same way and don't starve yourself. Go work out at the gym for a couple hours, start eating more healthier foods and cut back on junk food and sodas. Try doing yoga or pillaties aswell.
Good Luck!

Cut out as much sugar and fatty foods as you can. It's hard (I love chocolate) but it can be done. Don't try to deprive yourself of anything, though or you'll crack. Just eat everything in moderation. Avoid low-fat foods because they're only marginally better for you, and you'll likely end up eating more of them than you would the regular-fat version. Eat lots of fruit and veggies, eat a healthy breakfast and fruit (like bananas) for snacks, and you'll never be super hungry so you'll avoid food cravings. These things take planning, though, like if you're out of the house with no lunch packed you will buy something less healthy, and you want to avoid that. Don't buy cookies, etc., there are lots of lower-fat alternatives. Tea sweetened with honey is a nice treat.
Start exercising slowly, try to build up some muscle because your body at rest will burn more calories. Lift free weights (10 lbs or so) every couple days for 15 min or so 20 reps each with a minute or so pause in between. Walk wherever you can, make things more difficult for yourself (like walk up stairs vs elevators, etc). If you don't feel like exercising one day don't push it. Try to add variety to your exercise routines. Swimming is a great all-body workout.
Also remember your mom doesn't naturally look like that, don't worry about it too much, I'm sure you look good you just need to tone up a bit (don't we all). Good luck!

GET NEW FRIENDS! OMG! I am the same height as you with a medium frame and I weigh-very proudly cuz I used to be 315lbs-211 pounds. I carry it well, and bump everyone who doesn't like it. I am thick, and not fat. You are not fat. For my height, and frame, medically speaking I "should" be 140lbs. But dang it, that is just too skinny! I still wanna lose some more weight, but for health-not vanity. Stop compairing yourself to others and love you for who you are, because you will have to live with yourself for the rest of your life.
Just do what you need to do to stay healthy! Get the right amount of calories and exercise. Don't under do or over do either of those, cuz that's not good for you either.
I hate Hollywood and the media, damn it!

I know it sounds trivial but eat healthy and excersize. Whatever you do DON'T starve yourself. It'll actually gain more weight. When you dont eat and then eat something your body stores it as fat. Drink a lot of water, eat veggies and fruit. Skip sweets/soda. Eat slowly, it'll help you fill up faster. Don't skip breakfast! Excersize everyday! You shouldn't feel fat, I wish I was curvy. (You shouldn't compare yourself to your mom if she has had lipo, that's not natural)
What matters most is not what you weigh it's how you feel about yourself. Being healthy makes me feel great!!
