The honest answer is that you can't. Sorry but it's just not going to happen without you hurting him. The upside is that he'll get over it and once he does, if he's any kind of decent person, he'll want to be friends with you too.

Well you need to be straight up with him. Let him know that you think your relationship will flourish better being as friends. Be kind, open and honest. That's all you can do. And right now, maybe you are not giving him that message clear enough. He'll respect you more for being honest then dragging him on and letting him think there's something more. If you don't want to be friends with him and just want to be left alone, then tell him nicely that you need some space because you have alot on your mind right now. Tell him that the best thing he can do for you right now is give you some time to yourself. Aaaaand, be sure that he understands that the dating IS over.

Stop wanting to be friends with him.

Men and women cannot be friends #32.

Someone always is thinking somethinb about the other just like you're experiencing. If the other person isn't thinking you like them then if you end up dating someone else then that person will think something is going on or has gone on with you.

Especially since the two of you have "dated". If you want him to stop, stop being "friends" with him.

If you haven't told him that already, then you need to tell him just that. Tell him you don't want to hurt him but your not ready for a relationship. That was clear when you only went out for 4 days. Tell him, you want to be friends and see where it goes. He may not like it but if you don't like how he is right now. Later on it could get worse. Best of luck.

It's difficult to be friends when one party is unwilling. Speak with him and let him know that you've learned to know him better these 4 days and that you don't think the relationship will work. Advise him to move on and so do you.

Tell him the truth. It may be really hard for you, but do it. Its hurting him more if you dont. But then if youre not with him anymore why is he still talking to you? Then doesnt that mean that he is your friend?

Don't friends talk? What's he doing that is beyond the "just wanna be friends" idea? Perhaps you just need to make yourself unavailable for his 'talks' and he'll lose interest.

Tell him how you feel, and that you dont feel comfortable talking to him anymore... it was 4 days not 4 years. He should be ok.

Well are you sure HE understands its over?
Also if a "guy" scored once they often will play on the same court since the game is easy and they know they can score.....got my meaning?

You have to tell him the same way you will like to be told... and keep your distance, so he will see for sure that you are not interested in him.
