theres it this boy in my school and i like him. in lessons we flirt with each other but im not sure if its for a laugh or not i want to ask him out BUT i thought its the lads job to ask the girl out and if i ask him out and he says no i have to sit next to him in form every day WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If the boy likes you - he'll do his job of asking you out. Make him be a "man". He'll do it if he likes you.
If you ask him out, chances are that it will turn out to be bad for you. Mainly, because you took out his right to be a "man" by letting him decide on his own volition. Also, it could be a disaster if you ask him out - and he never really liked you the way you want him to like you.
Never ask him out. You could however plan on some activity that does not constitute "asking him out on a date". For example, you do group studies with other close friends... or maybe do outdoor activities that does not mean like a "date".
Come to think about it - if indeed you can flirt with each other "in lessons" - then do not spoil the existing fun... just be satisfied with this casual flirting for a little while... until the time comes that he would really make a move.

a very interesting dilemma... i have a similar one. i don't want to ask out somebody i sit next to and blow it for the reason you said, that i would be stuck next to her if things blew up in my face.
maybe if you're in a nice class you could just move if things got awkward. if you're in some horrible class (physics just seems to come to mind) then it would be really bad.

ask him out. it use to be the lad's job.50 YEARS AGO. times have changed. what if the boy is shy?

that sounds just like my problem. just try to get closer to him.try to be more of a friend first before you jump in ead first. become his friend and get to know him. thats what im doing now and its working, cause when your his friend he might see how great you are and ask you out.

try to get closer to him first... the closer you get to him the easier it will be to open up to him and in turn the easier it will be to express your feelings toward him without worrying about what he thinks about you... if you have a better idea of how he thinks about you and towards you, it will be easier to make the decision wether to ask him out or not... good luck.

pass him a little note asking if he likes you. if he says no, then he's not good enough for you and just say you still want to be friends. if he says yes, then you can ask him out.
personally i wait for the guys to ask me out.
