I asked a question about what giada used on her show everyday italian. It was a terra cotta clay disk, used in sugar. Thank you for the answers but they weren't specific enough. I went to the website, but don't know the name of the episode or where to search for it. Does anyone know the episode or what the name of these terra cotta disks are actually called? I searched on the net and couldn't find anything, except clay pots. I am searching for the small terra cotta clay disk, used to preserve sugar. thank you

Just buy a small flower pot and break it. Use the strongest, least sharp piece.

If these disks were to keep brown sugar soft, they probably can be purchased at a kitchen type store. I personally use a small apple. It keeps my brown sugar soft forever. I'm sorry, but I don't know what they are called.
