I am moving to UK in September as a post grad student and i would like to know if it is easy for me to get Temporary Importation on my car. I will be there for 3 years and i really love my car and do not want to drive LHD cars.

No idea. But I'm moving to a locale where I'll have to learn to drive on the left side of the road, and I've heard it's really hard if you don't have a car with a steering wheel on the right.
So think about storing your car safely at home and consider the "funny" British car an adventure.
