my ex just phoned me to tell me he cheated on his gf why would he tell me that
he doesnt like me in that way anymore so he not trying to get back with me

Maybe he needed to get that out of his system. He was scared to tell the girlfriend, and he didn't want to tell his boys because, well, guys are so stupid that I don't even want to know why he didn't tell them. <3

He is wanting to break up with his girlfriend and wants her to get mad and tell him it is over so she won't chase after him any more. He figures if he calls and tells you that you are still mad enough at him that will you will call and tell his current girl friend. He will accomplish his purpose.

I've never understood guys. He probably just has a guilty concious and needed to get it out. Or else he wants to get back with you. Who knows..
