if he where imaginary he would be the ultimate immaginary freind, considering he does miracles and can transform our lives i would say if he ever put himself out on the imaginary freind market he would be gone within an instant.

God gives us visions, but He is the one causing the visions or dreams & it isn't ones own imagination.
He has a perfect meaning/ message revealed in a vision or dream.
