I am going to submit a poem for publishing, what should it be about?

I am actually a contemporary fiction writer, and hardly ever write poems, so this will be the first attempt for me to actually try to get a poem published. I am wondering what should it be about?

I put this in the singles and dating catetory because I want to write something on the romantic side, but not too mushy.

I am going to write about moments, you know moments that in the whole scheme of things don't seem that important, but they really are. They're the little things that make us happy.

Those days where the work day hasn't been that great, boss is getting to you, you come home, and it's raining, you're soaking wet...you feel miserable; but everything is had better because she/he is there. She gets gets you a towel, and hot chocolate, and asks how your day was....and it seems...it wasn't that bad at all...

Sounds like a good poem to write about? Or something else to submit?
