Loreal TEX. They have awesome products. The new line which is gold, has this really good cream that you put in before straightening you're hair called Supreme smoothe. Also an AWESOME product, which is really hard to find but wonderful is also by loreal TEX, but in a black container called Straight Spray....you spray it on each section before you straighten it (care not to spray near the roots) It not only makes your hair super straight!!! But it leaves it As soft as Asian Hair....AMAZING!!!! Both are only at salons but totally worth it!!!!

There's serums and stuff available that you really should put in your hair before straightening it. The product coats your hair and offers some protection from the irons. Also, your hair will look much shinier and healthier while it is straightened. I would recommend going to the chemist or grocery store and just seeing what serums are available.
Good luck!

There is a product from Rusk (a hair company) It's a yellow bottle and you just run it through your hair before you straighten it and it will keep you hair from drying out.

some type of heat damage protector spray. no matter how good your straightener is, its always going to do SOME type of damage because...that's what heat does to your hair

even with good quality straighteners some kind of priming lotion would b better than not although no great damage will occur without it.
