i pity the people that answered...apart from the last one of course.they must have had very sheltered lives and dont know what happens in the real world(not the tv program).not everything in life is handed on a silver platter.

im sorry, i am also guilty of not reading ur past Q but from what i have read in this Q i have come to a conclusion that i hope helps. if you were such good friends with her brother surely he will know that you are a nice bloke and worthy of his sister? give him time to adjust to this situation and let him know that giving you 24 hours to choose him or the lovely marie is totally unreasonable and not going to solve anything. if you choose him he will still hate you for leaving his lil sis in the lurch, if you choose her he will be annoyed that his mate has dumped him. it really is a tough call, id sit down with him and marie and speak my mind if i were you, there is a beautiful baby in the equation here too so please be careful!and if you really do love her stick with her, they will both be happy with your decision sooner or later, especially when he see's how happy u make his sister. good luck chick Xx

No adult can make any other adult do or not do anything except as the law provides.
Let the 24 hours spin out without giving them a blind bit of notice, and carry on your merry way. You don't need his permission. You have no relationships with his deadlines.
BUT
Does he have a point at all? Are you an áss in any way? Is she better off without you? Are the pair of you too young?
or is it just over-protective brother syndrome? If you can examine your own soul, and she hers, and feel comfortable with your motivations here, then go ahead with your life together and let him catch up if he wants to.

So he'd be happy if you dumped her and left the baby fatherless, whilst staying friends with him? That can't be right. If you're in love with her, then only she should matter. He has to go and sort out his own problems - he may think he's acting in his sister's best interests and he may have his own reasons for doing so but you have to ensure Marie and your daughter are the top priorities here. Tempers are still high; give it time and he should come round once he realises that you're in it for the long-run. Good luck

Wow 24 is not long but if you could really show him that you care for her, and not in a way you have let your friend See you with other Chickie's!!!! He needs to know that you will respect his sister. He is a good brother to worry about her, but needs to let her make that final call.

Your question makes absolutely no sense. This isn't a soap opera site, please don't expect people to go digging through your past questions to figure out the latest chapter in the saga. Get the facts out in one post so we can read and reply.
Thanks!

well the fact that he is making you choose shows that he is not the friend you thought he was, i can understand him being overprotective but he should be able to deal with it...personally i would tell him nothing and see what happens from there
