Dear friend,
I do not want to discourage you but the church age ended in 1988. This year marked the 13000the anniversary of the history of the earth. It also marks the beginning of the Great Tribulation spoken of in Matthew 24. If you'll look at 2 Thessalonians 2, you'll see that the Lord has departed from ALL the local congregations and therefore, absolutely NO ONE can be saved there! We also read that the son of perdition, which can be shown to be satan, is now ruling in the local churches (Matthew 24:15, 16). We read in Isaiah 14 that satan always wanted to be 'like God'. Though satan was ruling in the world because he had gotten Adam and Eve to disobey the Lord, he could not rule in the church. As the churches went further and further away from the truth and satan sowed tares there (unsaved people), the Lord finally gave them up to satan. If you read Reve 2 + 3 you will see that the churches were already having trouble 60 years after Christ's resurrection.
This is why God has commanded the true believers to come out of the churches. There is no salvation there regardless of the accuracy of the preaching. In fact those that remain there are being sent a strong delusion to believe the lies of satan (2 Thess 2:11-12. Ihope this will help you and others.

Good for you if you feel that way. The truth is you are the church and the hall you went into is just the assembly hall of the churches coming together to listen to the good words and join with others in praising God. Remember that.

If you feel great, that's great. Your Pastor has been trained how to make the people feel good. Otherwise his church would be empty. He knows that. If you yourself have that talent, join the religious life. You'll make a lot more that you're making now and pay no taxes.

Yes, I have been twice today, and had a wonderful time worshipping God, and feeding on His Word too!
There was sadness tho, cos our Pastor left today to Pastor another church. He is a great man of God, and will be sorely missed by us all, but we know that He is doing the Lord's will, and we will eventually get a new Pastor who will lead us on in the things of the Lord.

I did. They were asking for pledges for the fundraising campaign.
They made me feel guilty so I gave them a hundred dollars more than I originally intended.
But that's IT!
Plus, I was hot, so my mind kinda wandered. My UU minister was talking about the Garden of Eden.
I wouldn't have worn the jacket that went over my dress, but I need to fix the straps on it because they're too long and they show my bra, so I had to wear the jacket over it.
Too much to think about. I should just wear a toga or something.

I did!
I was nourished by God's Word, by the witness of everyone else who went as well and by the Holy Eucharist -- partaking of the True Body and Blood of Jesus. We Catholics believe in the real Presence of Jesus -- not some mere symbol or placebo effect. Hey...with all of the difficulties that this day and age brings with it, I need all of the Divine Reality I can get!

Yes, I went to the only Unitarian - Universalist church in my area. A Buddhist monk, (Anglo-American, former Catholic) conducted the service.
