What if "God" is actually an advanced race of people that were mistaken for gods,because thier advanced technology could not be understood by the primitive people who first witnessed it, and who's job it was to explain to the rest of us ,what they experienced.What if they were trying to tell us ,but lacked the verbage...I.E life from dust (genetic biology) ...flying chariots (spacecraft)..big giant men swallowing whales ( submarines)....bushes that burn without burning( A spotlight)

Highly unlikely man is mistaken.
If you say higher beings are responsible then it
would seem to me they must think we are not intelligent enough for them to stick around and talk to them or have a relationship with them.
I don't understand the purpose for their visits? And why should they create such a huge confusion for mankind if their visits were not to be taken as a religious purpose but a secular purpose?
